Mark Bourgeois is the Global Head of Investor Engagement and CEO of Abraaj North America. Mark served as the CEO and President of Atlantic-Pacific Capital from July 2012 through October 2016 and remains as a Senior Advisor. Mark has spent more than 25 years in the alternative investments space. Prior to joining Atlantic-Pacific, Mark was Chief Executive Officer of the Americas for Credit Suisse's Asset Management group, where he was responsible for driving the overall business results for all internal funds and also outside firms in which Credit Suisse had an equity interest. Prior to this role, Mark was the Global Head of Distribution for Credit Suisse Asset Management where he established the marketing strategy and built global a sales forces in the institutional, retail and consulting channels. This team resulted in the firm raising $75bn in alternative assets in 4 years. Mark joined Credit Suisse from Lehman Brothers where he was the Global Head of Distribution for Lehman Brothers Asset Management with a focus on all alternative asset products. He joined Lehman after nearly a ten year career helping create and lead the UBS Private Funds Group, which raised $150 billion for over 90 funds. In aggregate, Mark has led the raising of over $250 billion of new assets for private equity, hedge funds, infrastructure/real assets and non-investment grade credit funds.
Mark holds a BA from Tennessee Temple University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
